Dre. Marilou Caron-Cantin offers refractive cataract surgery and clear lens replacement services, using cutting-edge technologies and specialty lenses. She also offers general ophthalmology services for the screening and monitoring of eye diseases. She divides her time between her main practice at the IRIS Ophthalmology Clinic and the hospital environment, notably at the Baie-St-Paul Hospital (CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale), where she offers general ophthalmology services and surgery.
Originally from Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, Dre. Marilou Caron-Cantin obtained her doctorate in medicine and her residency in ophthalmology at McGill University. She has participated in various research projects and published several scientific articles.
Before her medical studies, her passion for travel led her to study in Scotland, as part of an AFS Canada international exchange program. She also completed a bachelor’s degree in biology from Laval University in Quebec, where she distinguished herself in high-level sport within the Rouge et Or Swimming Club.
