How to prepare well for your virtual follow-up

FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE TO ACCESS YOUR ONLINE APPOINTMENT

1.  The day before your appointment:

1. Make sure you have a smart device equipped with an audio camera, as well as a reliable internet connection (laptop, smartphone).
2. If necessary, make sure you have someone available to assist you during the connection process.
3. Download and install the GoToMeeting app on your device using the following instructions.

2. On the day of the appointment:

1. An email will be sent to you a few hours/days before your teleconsultation meeting.
2. Make sure you are in a quiet, private and confidential environment;
3. Have your Quebec Health Insurance card ready to validate your identity at the start of the consultation;
4. Have your prescription drops in your possession;
5. Sit in front of your device, a few minutes before the scheduled consultation time;
6. Go to the GoToMeeting link sent to your email address and click on the GoToMeeting link. The meeting will begin on its own. It will be initiated by a member of the IRIS Ophthalmology Clinic.
7. If you don’t see the email with the GoToMeeting link, make sure to check in your junk folder.
